Sketch Club App Giveaway | Will You Be One of Five Lucky Winners?

I'm super excited about this giveaway. At first glance you may think that Sketch Club is only for people who like to create digital drawings and paintings. That's how I was introduced to it. Back in the days when I was selling my digital art creations, it was my app of choice. When I began my iPhoneography journey, I didn't think it would be of much use, but boy was I wrong!

Keep reading to find out how you can win a copy of this app!

How Do I Use Sketch Club?

Layers ~ It's my go-to app for working with layers. Although there is no mask function I still use it as my first choice because of two great features - you can zoom to 12800% magnification. YEP! That's right, 12800%. You can almost erase or recolor a single pixel! The second feature that I love about Sketch Club is the ability to rotate your photo rather than your device. Then all you do is tap with three fingers on the screen and it returns to the correct orientation at 100% zoom.

Painting Backgrounds ~ Often photos of people have busy backgrounds and I choose to paint over them. Sketch Club is great with the variety of brushes included with the app and the brush library. You can even create your own brush from any image and save it to Sketch Club.

Blur - A Blur brush is included in the Tools, and the opacity and strength are adjustable, so you can use it to blur parts of your image - remember that 12800% magnification and rotation feature I told you about? Well they come in handy here as well.

Smudge - Like the Blur brush, the Smudge brush can be customized for strength and opacity but you can also vary the style of brush too. This is a great one for those painterly images!

Textures - There's also a texture library within the app that you can use to layer over your work, or import any texture image from your device.

Sketch Club is for Digital Painting Too!

There's a social aspect to Sketch Club if you choose to participate - app.sketchclub.com. You can check out the work of other artists for inspiration, participate in daily challenges or visit any of the online forums where you can find everything from classes, tutorials and even stylus suggestions.

Below is a digital painting I did completely on Sketch Club (mainly done with the Vector Brush) - You can even record your drawing session and upload it to YouTube!
